Audi Hungaria is actively shaping the future of electromobility. With innovative technologies, a broad portfolio and high flexibility, we ensure our competitiveness. Our greatest strength remains the expertise and commitment of our employees,” says Michael Breme, Chairman of the Board of Audi Hungaria.
The MEBeco project has entered its final phase: the preparation of production lines and equipment for series production is in full swing at the Audi Hungaria engine plant. During the transition phase between pilot and series production, final machine takeovers and production capability tests are continuously carried out to ensure that all equipment meets the highest quality standards.
Audi Hungaria not only assembles MEBeco electric drives at the Győr engine plant, but is also significantly increasing its production depth. Building on its expertise in stator and transmission production, the company will in future also manufacture rotors, plate packs and power electronics on its own site, covering an area of 33,000 m².
The project requires close cooperation between several disciplines – manufacturing, factory design, quality assurance, logistics, project management, technical development, tool design. Series production of the new electric drives is expected to start in the first half of next year.
"Audi Hungaria is one of the key players in the future of mobility. With MEBeco, we have successfully achieved an unprecedented level of manufacturing depth in electric drive production. Our professional team ensures the highest quality of our innovative product and contributes expertly to the further development of electromobility." - says Peter Will, Board of Management of Audi Hungaria responsible for Powertrain Production.
