Jürgen Russer will be the new Member of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria responsible for Vehicle Production

Győr, March 25, 2026 – From April 1, 2026, Jürgen Russer will take over the management of the Audi Hungaria vehicle factory. The baton will be passed to Zoltán Les, who has made a significant contribution to the success, development and strategic strengthening of vehicle production in Győr over many years.

Jürgen Russer is an experienced international production manager, who previously worked as Plant Manager at FAW-Volkswagen’s Changchun plant in China, where he was responsible for managing production processes and developing the production network. During his career, he has held senior positions at several VW and Audi Group production sites in Europe and Asia, including Ingolstadt, Neckarsulm and Slovakia. Since 2022, he has played a major role in the development of FAW-Volkswagen.

“We are delighted that Jürgen Russer is joining Audi Hungaria. His international experience in production and management, gained on several continents, and in-depth knowledge of the Group’s production systems provide an excellent basis for the Győr-based vehicle plant to further strengthen its role in the VW and Audi Group’s global production network. Under Mr Russer’s leadership, I am confident that our company will continue to make good progress towards its goals of high capacity utilisation, flexible production structures and efficiency gains,” said Michael Breme, Chairman of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria.

The Győr-based company started manufacturing cars in 1998. Since then, Zoltán Les has held management positions at Audi Hungaria, and in the past seven years he has been responsible for a number of projects as a Member of the Board of Management responsible for Vehicle Production. He is credited with optimising the factory’s production structures and integrating several Audi models into production, as well as increasing production volumes in recent years. Mr. Les successfully implemented the integration of the CUPRA Terramar model into production. With this, Audi Hungaria’s vehicle manufacturing plant has become the first production site within Audi’s international production network where two brands are manufactured. The company appreciates his dedicated work and contribution. Zoltán Les will succeed Jürgen Russer as factory manager of FAW-Volkswagen’s Changchun plant in China.

Jürgen Russer, the new Member of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria responsible for Vehicle Production, was born in Ingolstadt in 1969. He is married, and a father of 1 child.
