In the last days of April, the “Szakma Sztár” Festival was held at Hungexpo in Budapest. Four Audi Hungaria students made it to the final in 3 professions: body shop technician, alternative vehicle drive technician and foreign language industrial and commercial technician. For years, the aim of the competition has been to promote vocational education and training and the various professions among young people.

On May 10, the best performing students were awarded at the Budapest Congress Center. Four students of Audi Hungaria’s dual training programme received the “Outstanding Student of the Profession” award: Péter István Jankó and Márk Hajba, who finished in X and X places in the alternative vehicle drive technician profession, Csanád Györkös, who achieved X place in the bodywork technician profession, and Vince Weinstock, who achieved X place in the foreign language industrial and commercial technician profession.

The winners of the technical professions awards enhance the reputation of the SZC Lukács Sándor Automotive and Mechanical Engineering Vocational Secondary School and Student Hostel of Győr, while the commercial technician student studies at the Audi Hungaria School Center.

Our Győr-based company has been preparing students for the competition for more than 10 years, and for the third year in a row it has been a sponsor of the event, providing the equipment and experts for the competition and rewarding the winners.

Audi Hungaria has been running its apprenticeship programme for 24 years, during which time more than 2,500 students have graduated, most of them starting their careers at Audi Hungaria. The company maintains a relationship with 5 schools of the Győr Vocational Training Center. Training is currently ongoing in 6 vocational groups with more than 200 apprentices. As a corporate training center, the company supports the region and the labour market through its contracted trainings with highly skilled professionals trained in an industrial environment.
