Audi Hungaria is the dual training centre of the year

Győr, 26 March 2026 – Audi Hungaria has won the "Dual Training Centre of the Year – 2026" award of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the large enterprise category. The award was received by Kinga Németh, Member of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria responsible for Human Resources and Organization, from Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary, at the opening ceremony of the Chamber of Commerce's “Szakma Sztár” (Stars of the Profession) Festival, the finals of the national professional competitions. The Győr-based company was the first in Hungary to start dual vocational training twenty-five years ago and has been committed to developing it with its partners ever since. The programme has now become a national model and a key pillar of vocational training in the automotive industry.

The vocational training system, based on the German model, has so far provided more than 2,600 young people with up-to-date professional knowledge and key competences essential for the labour market. Most of the graduates started their professional careers as employees of Audi Hungaria.

In the field of youth training, the Győr-based company works in close cooperation with the schools of the Győr Vocational Training Centre, the Audi Hungaria School Centre and the Széchenyi István University. Students can gain competitive knowledge in five vocational groups, twelve different professions in automotive, automation, engineering, IT and business. There are also two courses to qualify as a certified technician, and in several courses young people can continue their studies in higher education with credit recognition.

"We are honoured to receive this award, which is recognition of twenty-five years of joint work and continuous development. To date, our training programme has given more than 2,600 students a secure professional future. Our dual training gives them not only a trade, but also the skills to succeed in the world of work. This award is a joint recognition for all those who do so much every day to ensure that our young people can start their professional careers with competitive knowledge," said Kinga Németh, Member of the Board of Management of Audi Hungaria responsible for Human Resources and Organization.

In the company's own training workshops in its modern 10,000 square metre centre in Győr, as well as in the learning stations in the production areas of the drive and vehicle plants, students learn the practical skills of their profession in a real industrial environment. The company has invested more than HUF 2 billion in the development of its training centre since 2001.

Audi Hungaria remains committed to nurturing the next generation in the region, supporting professional excellence and the professionals of the future.

Audi Hungaria has been preparing its young people for the Szakma Sztár competitions for more than ten years, and for the fourth year has been an active sponsor of the event by providing equipment and professional experts.
