It was with the greatest pride that the managers of our company and the Hungarian importer Porsche Hungaria, as well as the showroom manager of PROCAR Kft. in Székesfehérvár, handed over the Daytona grey S line Q3 to its new owner, who has chosen Volkswagen Group for the seventh time.
An Audi story with more than a million kilometres
The owner of the new Audi Q3 did not start driving the Group's models today. Decades of management work for a German multinational company, many kilometres driven and a first Audi A4, which he was able to take over even before the brand was officially present in Hungary. It all started from here. Since then, the cars of the Volkswagen Group have come in succession: company cars, family cars, all of which have proved to be faithful companions over the years. There is a reason why he still says: he has never been let down by any of them.
What are the criteria for choosing a car when you've tried so many?
"I'm quite quick and decisive in my choices, this was another love car. It is said that in the family, it is the man's job to choose the type of car to buy based on technical criteria, while the choice of extras and colour is more the wife's prerogative. Of course, I have great confidence in German precision and the durability of the technique. The good relationship and mutual trust with the car dealer is an important aspect for me."
Why Q3?
“It’s simple. If you're retired, and you might be buying a brand new car for the last time, you want one that's really fresh, modern and built on new foundations. And the extras we've ordered give us exactly the comfort an experienced driver expects, and you can feel it in every detail."
The first look at the finished car
The response was short, concise and honest: "I made the right decision." And somehow everyone felt that nothing more needed to be added.
When he learned that he would own the first one in Hungary, the prospective owner received the news modestly, but with great honour. Although he does not like publicity, he agreed to attend the event as a gesture to show his appreciation for the decades of work the dealership has done. He was delighted to arrive at Audi Hungaria, where, following the handover ceremony, he was given a tour of the factory and an insight into the production process of the new Q3 models and a driving test on the in-house test track.
"My job has taken me to several big companies and I had some idea of how a car was made, but here I was fascinated by the high-tech environment. I was able to see the quality of the work that goes on in the factory, where, by the way, some of my old classmates worked and still work, and I even met a relative. Knowing that the car I drive starts its journey here before being shipped all over the world really fills one with pride. As a Hungarian, it is also a very good feeling that the Győr plant plays such a prominent role within the Group. I am grateful for the kindness of the staff here – one of the colleagues also gave us a unique 3D-printed key chain with the Q3 logo as a gift. I really appreciate such human gestures."
And where will the new Q3 go first?
The answer brings a smile to everyone's face: “To my son, I want to show off our new car."
The first Hungarian third-generation Q3 has since been to Budapest and even made it to the shore of the “Hungarian sea”, Lake Balaton. And its driver assistance system has been tested in rain, snow, wind... needless to say, it passed with flying colours. We wish the new owner and his family many safe and memorable journeys!
