Audi TT Coupé, Roadster, A3 Cabriolet and RS 3 Sportback
From 1998, in the framework of a cooperative produciton system, the Audi TT Coupé and the TT Roadster are produced in Ingolstadt and Győr.
In June 2006, the serial production of the Audi TT Coupé, and, in November, that of the second generation of the Roadster was started in Győr.
In November 2007, another new chapter was opened in the success story of Audi Hungaria with the production of the Audi A3. Start of production of RS 3 Sportback started in 2011.
According to the division of work between the two sites, the body elements of the vehicles, their welding and spray-painting are made in Ingolstadt. The painted bodies are transported to Győr, where the final assembly takes place. The body elements painted in Germany, after their transport to Győr are moved to the assembly hall. Before that, they receive an “overall”, a special plastic cloak that will protect the precious paintwork during the assembly work.
Following 65 work processes carried out along the 240-m assembly line, the cars are filled with fuel and oil, and they can roll on their own wheels to final control, where highly qualified specialists will check them. The quality check of the assembled cars will include the adjustment of the running gear, the torque test and the brake test. The finished vehicles are shipped back to Ingolstadt by railway, from where they are forwarded to the dealers.
Last year, 39,518 vehicles rolled off the production line at Audi Hungaria.
