The quality management system of the Hungarian engine factory received certification to DIN ISO 9002 as early as in 1995. In 1998, after the start of the serial production of the TT Coupé, this certification was extended to vehicle production as well.

In the autumn of 1999, AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft – together with the Audi sites in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm – was certified according to the guidelines 6.1 of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). The quality management system audit equivalent to VDA 6.1 is the consequent development of the quality management system according to the DIN ISO 9002 standard.

In 2001, the company renewed its certification according to the international standard – ISO 9001:2000 – that was in the meantime made harder and transformed, and joined the engine development activity that was constructed meanwhile – also keeping alive its certification to VDA 6.1.
