AUDI HUNGARIA built up and had certified its environmental management system according to the 1836/93/EEC Council Regulation of the European Union. As a result, AUDI HUNGARIA became one of those Hungarian companies who could successfully close the certification procedure in compliance with the regulations of the European Union, and could obtain a quasi-registered status.

The re-certification of the environmental management system of Audi Hungaria took place already according to the amended 761/2001/EC Regulation (EMAS II), and, in parallel, the certification according to ISO 14001 was also obtained. With the accession of Hungary to the European Union in 2004, Audi Hungaria Motor Kft acquired the right to officially register its EMAS system that was quasi-registered until that time. As a result of this procedure, our company was the first in Hungary to register its EMAS system; so our registration number is: HU-000001. In 2009, for the fourth time, Audi Hungaria Motor Kft had successfully re-certified its environmental management system that has already been operating at the company since 10 years.
