A car makes the first impression by its body. Few people take into consideration the technical challenges to be answered when preparing the elements of a body. This task is undertaken by our tool factory belonging to the forefront of the entire world.

General information
After an audit of the sites involving the entire concern, in 2005 Audi Hungaria Motor Kft was selected for constructing a tool plant. Tools for the pressing plant and the bodywork plant are produced in the 18,000-m2 hall erected as a result of the 40-million-euro investment. The high-performance presses with a maximum pressing force of 25,000 kN which can be equipped with tools just as large as 50 tons are regarded as technical specialities.

Tool production
In the area of tool production, tools required for serial production are designed and manufactured. The pulling, cutting and post-fabrication tools allow the production of 10-15 body elements per minute.

Fixture production
The fixtures and grippers designed and produced by the fixture production department make it possible to connect the components of the vehicle body with geometrical accuracy, using state-of-the-art technology.

Small batch parts production
In small batch parts production, body elements are manufactured for the top models of the Audi concern – for A8 and RS4. Premium quality of the products is ensured by small batch tools, laser cutting and significant amount of handwork.
